The Cartwright Companies has always made a commitment to support industry associations. Below are a number of associations we are a member of.
IAM is a global association of over 2,000 members in over 165 countries and is the largest global professional coalition of forwarding, moving, shipping and supply companies representing the Household Goods Industry. As a Governing Member, we participate in discussions affecting our industry and we have voting rights on all matters impacting Governing Members, including final approval of amendments/revisions to IAM by-laws affecting any category of IAM membership. We always participate in IAM conferences and lend great support to the organization. We are also a member of IAM's Receivable Protection Program (RPP) which is a voluntary member-funded plan open to both current Governing and Core Members of the Association. The RPP is intended to establish a process through which an IAM member in good standing can recover unpaid funds/invoices stemming from commercial shipments, owed to them by another IAM member. Several of our employees are on various committees within IAM. In fact, Georgia Angell, our Director of Agent Relations, served as Chairperson of the Executive Committee for 4 years. Additionally, Thomas Cartwright, part of the 2nd generation of Cartwright family leadership, was inducted into the IAM Hall of Honor in 2010.
LACMA members are experienced and prestigious moving and relocation companies not only from Latin America, but from all parts of the world. It´s a leader association, respected in the industry for its well-established purpose and character, attractive for its constant innovation in services, directed towards continuous improvement and characterized for the strong bond between its members.
